Sagar Defence Engineering has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the proposed allotment of approximately 400 acres of land to establish a state-of-the-art defence manufacturing facility focused on advanced strategic and national security systems.
The MoU signing took place during an official event held in the presence of India’s Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
The proposed manufacturing facility is expected to strengthen India’s indigenous defence production capabilities under the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative while positioning Andhra Pradesh as a major hub for strategic defence manufacturing and innovation.
Representing Sagar Defence Engineering at the signing ceremony were Capt. Nikunj Parashar, Founder and CMD, along with Saurabh Patil, Head of Research & Development.
The development follows the company’s recent acquisition of an Industrial License for explosives manufacturing, marking a significant expansion of its capabilities in the defence manufacturing sector.
The company stated that the proposed facility is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities, support regional industrial infrastructure development, and contribute toward India’s long-term self-reliance in critical defence technologies and manufacturing.
Commenting on the partnership, Capt. Nikunj Parashar, Founder & CMD of Sagar Defence Engineering, said:
“This partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening India’s indigenous defence manufacturing ecosystem and building next-generation strategic capabilities under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.”
