Yulu, India’s leading shared electric mobility platform, has completed 2 billion kilometres of green rides, reinforcing its leadership position in the country’s EV mobility ecosystem. This milestone highlights seven years of category-creating innovation supported by Yulu’s 45,000 EV fleet, its AI-powered mobility stack, and the energy network operated through Yuma Energy.
Yulu’s growth has accelerated sharply. While the company took six years to hit its first billion kilometres, the next billion was completed within just 14 months. This rapid adoption shows the rising demand for Yulu’s hyperlocal goods mobility services, powered by purpose-built EVs tailored for delivery needs.
Embedded in India’s Delivery Ecosystem
Yulu is now a key part of India’s doorstep delivery network. It partners with leading platforms such as Zomato, Swiggy, BigBasket, Blinkit, Flipkart Minutes, Instamart and Zepto.
Yulu riders have completed over 400 million green doorstep deliveries across grocery, food, and emerging service categories including on-demand house help from platforms like Pronto, Snabbit, and Urban Company.
More than 1,000 women riders now use Yulu EVs to expand their work radius and improve daily earnings.
Impact on Gig Workers and Cities
Yulu’s platform has become a major enabler of gig worker income growth. By removing common barriers such as affordability, vehicle access, maintenance costs, and credit requirements, the company helps riders save 30–40% more compared to petrol two-wheelers. More than 500,000 gig workers have benefitted from the platform so far.
The company has also contributed significantly to sustainability. In seven years, Yulu has helped avoid 54 million kg of CO₂ emissions, making cities cleaner and less congested.
Leadership Statement
Amit Gupta, CEO & Co-founder of Yulu, said, “The 2-billion-kilometre milestone reflects Yulu’s market leadership and the deep impact we are creating across India’s urban mobility landscape. What began as a bold vision has become a critical enabler for millions of citizens and businesses. We remain committed to helping cities move better.”
Future Growth Plans
By FY2027, Yulu plans to double its EV fleet and expand into several new cities through both company-led and partner-led models. The goal is to remain India’s preferred platform for hyperlocal goods and people mobility.
