VinFast has officially announced the rollout of the VF MPV 7 electric vehicle from its manufacturing plant in Subang, West Java, Indonesia. The development marks a significant milestone in the company’s global manufacturing expansion strategy and reinforces its long-term commitment to Southeast Asia’s growing electric vehicle market.
The announcement was made during a four-day VF MPV 7 customer experience event held at Laguna, Central Park Mall in Indonesia. The program allowed customers, media representatives, and partners to experience the electric MPV through test drives and interactive activities.
As part of the launch offer, the first 2,000 customers purchasing the VF MPV 7 will receive a cashback incentive of IDR 16 million. VinFast customers will also benefit from free charging at V-Green charging stations in Indonesia until March 31, 2029.
The VF MPV 7 is positioned as the premium version of the Limo Green lineup and has been designed for family-oriented customers. The electric MPV combines spacious interiors, modern styling, and advanced smart technologies aimed at improving comfort and convenience.
Commenting on the rollout, Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, said:
“The VF MPV 7 is a strategic product within VinFast’s electric vehicle portfolio in Indonesia, reaffirming our long-term investment commitment and sustainable development vision for the market. The rollout of the first VF MPV 7 from the Subang plant marks an important milestone in our localization journey, enhancing competitiveness while delivering high-quality, intelligent, and accessible electric vehicles tailored to the real-world needs of modern urban families in Indonesia.”
The VF MPV 7 measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,734 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. The seven-seater MPV features a spacious cabin, premium synthetic leather upholstery, a 10.1-inch infotainment display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control with PM 2.5 filtration, and dedicated air vents for all seating rows.
Powering the vehicle is an electric motor producing 150 kW (201 hp) and 280 Nm of torque. The vehicle is equipped with a 60.2 kWh battery pack offering a claimed driving range of up to 450 km on NEDC standards. VinFast stated that fast charging technology allows the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in around 30 minutes.
The MPV also includes several intelligent and connected features such as Indonesian voice-controlled virtual assistance, smartphone-based remote vehicle management, rear parking assist, rear-view camera, cruise control, and multiple active and passive safety systems.
The VF MPV 7 is priced in Jakarta starting at IDR 420 million for the battery-included version, while the battery subscription model starts at IDR 345 million. Battery subscription plans begin from IDR 880,000 per month.
The rollout comes months after VinFast inaugurated its Subang manufacturing facility in December 2025. Built on a 171-hectare site, the facility is expected to receive investments exceeding USD 1 billion across multiple phases. Future production capacity is projected to reach up to 350,000 vehicles annually.
Currently, the Subang plant manufactures models including the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, and VF MPV 7, with plans to expand the lineup further as part of VinFast’s Southeast Asia growth strategy.
Since entering Indonesia around two years ago, VinFast has expanded its dealership and after-sales network while collaborating with charging infrastructure company V-Green and multiple financial institutions to improve EV accessibility and charging coverage across the country.
