Cityflo, India’s leading app-based premium daily commute platform, has announced a major expansion of its services. The company has increased its fleet significantly in Delhi NCR and launched operations for the first time in Kolkata, marking its entry into the Eastern region. With this move, Cityflo now operates a fleet of more than 1,000 buses, a three-fold increase from last year. This makes Cityflo the largest app-based bus operator in India.
This rapid growth reflects a major shift in how India’s corporate professionals think about daily commuting. As service quality declines and many operators shut down abruptly, Cityflo has built its reputation on one core promise: a bus that arrives every day, without fail.
Cityflo now operates in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi-NCR, and Kolkata, four of India’s most active economic hubs with the highest concentration of corporate commuters.
Jerin Venad, Co-founder & CEO of Cityflo, highlighted the importance of this expansion. He noted that both Delhi-NCR and Kolkata have millions of daily commuters navigating highly congested routes. A large share still depends on private vehicles. He added that when commuters are offered a dependable, affordable, and comfortable option, they willingly shift to more sustainable modes of transport. Cityflo aims to scale this model across both cities to help reduce congestion and improve daily travel.
Delhi NCR and Kolkata Launch Details
In Delhi NCR, Cityflo is deploying 200+ buses across 30+ routes, connecting key residential areas in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, and Faridabad to major commercial hubs like DLF Cyber City and Sohna Road.
In Kolkata, Cityflo is launching high-demand corridors that link major residential locations with the city’s important business districts, including Sector V and New Town Business District. The company is introducing 200 buses at launch to ensure strong coverage from day one.
Looking Ahead
Cityflo’s expansion is part of its larger goal to become the go-to daily commute solution for corporate professionals across India. The company will continue strengthening route density, expanding its corporate partnerships, and accelerating the shift toward an electric fleet.
The focus remains clear: to make shared mobility the preferred option for India’s urban workforce and help reduce traffic congestion.
Cityflo currently serves over 5 million professionals annually and has grown its daily ridership by 50% in the past year. Its services help replace 16 lakh private car trips every year, contributing meaningfully to decongesting urban roads.
