Tata Motors Limited’s Board has approved a Composite Scheme of Arrangement among Tata Motors (TML), TML Commercial Vehicles Limited (TMLCV), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPV), and their shareholders under the Companies Act, 2013. The Scheme involves demerging TML’s Commercial Vehicle business into TMLCV and merging TMPV’s Passenger Vehicle business into TML. Upon effectiveness, TMLCV and TML will be renamed, resulting in two listed entities: TML (Commercial Vehicles) and TMPV (Passenger Vehicles, Electric Vehicles, JLR).

Rappelling a strong commitment to India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Maharashtra, to examine the setting-up of a Green Field Manufacturing Facility at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has signed an MoU with CHARGE ZONE to bolster HMIL’s EV roadmap in alignment with the Government of India’s EV adoption strategies. CHARGE ZONE will install DC 60 kW fast chargers across 100 HMIL dealerships in India. The MoU was signed by Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head – Corporate Planning at HMIL, and Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & CEO of CHARGE ZONE, at HMIL’s headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana.

Norton Motorcycles, under TVS Motor Company’s ownership, is gearing up for global expansion with a significant investment of £200 million. This investment will fund new product development, state-of-the-art facilities, and research, marking a new phase for Norton. The company plans to introduce six new models over the next three years, with a focus on the USA, Germany, France, Italy, and India.

This expands the range of apps available in the Group Application Store, a uniform in-car application store for cars of the Volkswagen Group brands, to more than 70 depending on the model and market.

MAHLE SmartBike Systems, the eBike company of automotive component supplier MAHLE, has launched its new X30 drive system for eBikes. The new MAHLE X30 consists of a motor, battery, HMI (human-machine Interface), and other components, extending the X-Series system platform.
