Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, has introduced the ecomet Star 1915 truck in the intermediate commercial vehicle segment. This truck, boasting a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 18.49 tonnes, is designed to cater to the logistical needs of various industries, including e-commerce, parcel delivery, and the transportation of fresh produce.
The introduction of this new truck is timely, given the industry’s growing demand for higher payload capacity across different applications.
According to Sanjeev Kumar, President of Medium Heavy Commercial Vehicles at Ashok Leyland, “Ashok Leyland is actively supporting the expansion of the Intermediate Commercial Vehicle (ICV) segment by consistently introducing unique and innovative products. We are excited to present the ecomet Star 1915 truck with a GVW of 18.49 tonnes, powered by the reliable 150hp H4 engine, which is well-suited for long-distance operations.”
The ecomet Star 1915 truck is expected to deliver exceptional fuel efficiency, faster turnaround times, extended tire durability, longer service intervals, and an overall reduction in maintenance costs, as per Kumar’s statement.
