Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has added a new variant to its popular i20 hatchback range with the launch of the ‘Magna Executive’ trim, priced at ₹7,50,900 (ex-showroom). This move is part of Hyundai’s broader strategy to offer premium features at more affordable price points, targeting value-conscious yet aspirational buyers in the premium hatchback market.
The Magna Executive variant is pretty well endowed with safety features and equipment in the new offering, boasting six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) as standard. It also boasts R15 wheels with full wheel covers, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a digital instrument cluster with a TFT multi-information display.
Hyundai also offers the Intelligent Variable Transmission (iVT) variant on the base Magna variant for ₹8,88,800. It also offers the Sportz (O) variant with high-end features like a smart key with push-button start, a 7-speaker premium Bose audio system, and a smart electric sunroof.
“At Hyundai, we are committed to consistently elevating customer delight by offering products that reflect their evolving aspirations and lifestyle,” said Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and COO at HMIL.
For those customers interested in tech-upgrades, Hyundai will also sell a 25.55 cm touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, and rear camera as a factory-approved accessory. The price is ₹14,999 with a 3-year warranty.
A long-standing pillar in Hyundai’s India lineup, the i20 has sold over 1.4 million units over the past 15 years. The current-generation model stands out for its modern styling, premium interiors, and enhanced safety features, solidifying its position in the competitive premium hatchback segment.
With this new update, the i20 range now goes from the base Magna Executive manual trim at ₹7,50,900 to the Sportz (O) iVT model at ₹9,99,990 (ex-showroom).
