Gravton Motors Pvt Ltd, an EV full-stack firm based in Hyderabad, recently launched its premier electric motorcycle, Quanta, during a ceremony at T-Hub in Hyderabad.
Priced at INR 1.2 lakh, Quanta has been approved by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), rendering it ready for commercial use.
The company asserts that Quanta is India’s first electric motorcycle equipped with Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LMFP) batteries, boasting improved battery longevity, superior thermal stability, and an increased range. It delivers up to 130 kilometers on a single charge, achieves 80% charge in less than 90 minutes, and is built for all-terrain resilience with a maximum load capacity of 265 kilograms.
The motorcycle is equipped with advanced connectivity features that can be accessed through a dedicated mobile application. Users have the ability to monitor the battery’s health, its charge status, and the vehicle’s range. Additionally, they can utilize remote start/stop functions, track the vehicle, and receive anti-theft notifications.
At the launch event, Parshuram Paka, the Founder and CEO of Gravton Motors, stated, “Quanta represents five years of our team’s unwavering commitment. It’s crafted for Bharat, apt for commuting in both urban and rural areas, and has successfully undergone rigorous all-terrain testing.”
Quanta’s capabilities were highlighted by its record-breaking journey of 4,011 kms from Kanyakumari to Khardung La in just 6.5 days, earning recognition in the Asia Book of Records.
Gravton Motors plans to manufacture 30,000 Quanta units annually to meet the increasing demand for electric two-wheelers in India.
