Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has announced CSR initiatives worth ₹56 crore in Maharashtra. The programs focus on environment, healthcare, road safety, and community welfare, marking a major milestone in Hyundai’s partnership with the state.
Launch by Maharashtra CM
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, launched the initiatives. He said:
“These initiatives reflect Hyundai’s strong commitment to the people of Maharashtra. It shows Hyundai’s role not only as a manufacturer, but also as a responsible corporate citizen dedicated to social progress.”

Key CSR Projects
IONIQ Forest – Greening Pune
- Investment: ₹32 crore
- Location: Dange Chowk, Pune
- Plan: Plant 1 million native trees across 90.5 acres using the Miyawaki technique.
- Aim: Create one of Maharashtra’s largest afforestation zones and reinforce Hyundai’s nationwide greening efforts.
Easy Roads Initiative – Road Safety
- Investment: ₹4 crore
- Establishing a Traffic Engineering Centre and an Organization Development Centre in Nagpur and Pune.
- Supporting Nagpur Traffic Police’s “My Road, My Friend” campaign.
Adhikaar Connect – Rural Development
- Locations: Nashik and Talegaon
- Focus: Bridge gaps in public welfare access.
- Support: Assistance in documentation, application processes, digital and financial literacy for rural communities.
Expanding Ongoing Pan-India Programs in Maharashtra
HMIF will also strengthen its existing programs in the state:
- Healthcare Access: Sparsh Sanjeevani Telemedicine Clinics and Mobile Medical Units.
- Cancer Care: Awareness and treatment under Hope for Cancer.
- Sports Development: Grassroots talent promotion under Sports Lab.
- Arts and Culture: Grants through Art for Hope.
- Skill Development: Driver training and automotive skilling under Drive4Progress.
