The recent GST Council decision to rationalize tax rates has prompted major changes in the automotive sector. Vehicle prices are being revised across the industry, and the auto component and accessories segment is following suit.
In line with this reform, UNO Minda Limited’s Aftermarket division has announced price reductions across its product categories. The company confirmed that it will pass the full benefits of the revised GST slabs to customers, effective September 22, 2025.
Key GST Changes
Under the new GST reforms:
- Several products previously under the 28% GST slab will now be taxed at 18%.
- Certain products under the 18% slab have been reduced to 5%.
These revisions cover multiple product segments, including alloy wheels, batteries, car mats, CNG kits, and other components.
UNO Minda’s Commitment
Commenting on the changes, Vishal Kaul, Business Head & President, Aftermarket, UNO Minda Ltd, said:
“We welcome the Government of India and the GST Council’s progressive step towards rationalizing tax rates.
