Tata Motors has recently inaugurated its fourth Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Chandigarh, following the success of similar facilities in Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, and Surat. With an annual capacity to recycle 12,000 vehicles, this environmentally friendly scrapping facility is developed and operated by Tata Motors’ partner, Dada Trading Company. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, unveiled the facility and highlighted its significance in promoting responsible manufacturing and sustainability.
Chandra expressed the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, stating that the state-of-the-art facility exemplifies Tata Motors’ dedication to creating a greener and cleaner environment. The establishment of the fourth RVSF reflects the company’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions, promote a circular economy, and foster a culture of recycling. Encouraging vehicle owners to retire older and more polluting commercial and passenger vehicles, the initiative aims to contribute to a more sustainable future. The ultimate goal is to drive the adoption of newer, safer, and more fuel-efficient vehicles in alignment with Tata Motors’ vision for a cleaner and healthier planet.
