TVS Motor is further consolidating its position in the scooter segment, this time by gearing up to refresh its best-selling Jupiter 125. With the launch of the new-look refreshed Jupiter 110 last year, which was a major success with its new aggressive look, TVS Motor is now all set to roll out the new Jupiter 125. The first teaser is now live, offering fans a preview of what lies ahead.
First Glimpse of the New TVS Jupiter 125
TVS has officially teased the soon-to-be-launched Jupiter 125 on its social media handles, generating hype in the mass market 125cc scooter segment. The teaser caption says – “Style. Power. Performance. Coming soon!” Although the teaser isn’t very forthcoming, it does point to a single-piece seat and a single-piece rear pillion grab rail. The scooter is seen in a deep Copper color, which is expected to be the launch color.
Design will likely be inspired by the smaller sibling, the Jupiter 110. Look out for fashionable features like horizontal LED DRLs, LED turn signals, and LED tail lamps. Core features such as 12-inch wheels, 220mm front petal disc brake, front fuel filler cap, and large under-seat storage from the existing vehicle will find their way into the new Jupiter 125 or will be further refined.
Features and Performance
TVS is likely to continue its ‘Zyada Ka Fayda’ policy, making the new Jupiter 125 an all-round package with plenty of features, comfort, and space. The new model may have more features compared to last year’s Jupiter 110, such as the continuation of the TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
Under the hood, the new Jupiter 125 will also continue with the same 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The powertrain churns out 8 bhp and 10.5 Nm without iGO Assist and 8.44 bhp and 11.1 Nm with iGO Assist, along with a CVT for silky smoothness.
Anticipated Launch Date and Competitors
The official launch is slated for the festive season, which is the perfect time for TVS to get noticed in the crowded scooter space. The new Jupiter 125 will then go head to head with other popular names in the 125cc space like the Honda Activa 125, the 2025 Suzuki Access, Hero Destini 125, and Yamaha Fascino once it is launched.
Considering the additional features and enhancements, the latest Jupiter 125 is expected to have a slightly elevated price compared to the existing one that retails between ₹80,640 and ₹91,821.
Tune in for further updates as TVS keeps on dropping new teasers in build-up to the launch.
