Following the launch of the stunning Windsor Pro, JSW MG Motor India has set its sights on strengthening its line-up in the domestic market. To this end, the company has made changes to the prices of its smallest and largest models — the MG Comet EV and the MG Gloster — with effect from May 2025.
MG Comet EV – New Prices and Hike Details
Dubbed India’s most budget-friendly electric vehicle, the MG Comet EV is a small two-door city EV with a premium look and tech-laden interior. It features four-passenger seating in a 2+2 configuration.
The entry-level Executive variant, which was earlier priced at Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom), has witnessed the biggest jump in prices in the lineup — increasing by Rs 35,700 to a new price of Rs 7.36 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, Excite and Excite FC variants are now available for Rs 8.42 lakh and Rs 8.82 lakh, respectively, witnessing lower price hikes of Rs 16,000 and Rs 4,000.
The other trims — Exclusive, Exclusive FC, and Blackstorm FC — have seen their price rise by Rs 5,300. Those availing Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) get the Comet EV starting at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom) plus Rs 2.5/km.
MG Gloster – Max Rs 1.51 Lakh More Costly
With the upcoming launch of the Majestor SUV — a higher-end model that was unveiled at the 2025 Auto Expo and is reportedly going to be positioned above the Gloster — MG has also raised prices for the Gloster SUV.
The bottom-of-the-line Sharp Turbo 4X2 7-seater has got the biggest jump of Rs 1.51 lakh and is now priced at Rs 41.07 lakh (up from Rs 39.56 lakh). The top-of-the-line models, namely the Savvy Turbo 4X2 and the Savvy Twin Turbo 4X4, have each undergone a consistent price hike of Rs 1.5 lakh. This takes the range-topping Gloster variant to Rs 45.53 lakh (ex-showroom).
These price adjustments demonstrate MG’s continued effort to match its products with demand and future product introductions.
