Mechanically, the Maruti Swift Blitz Edition is identical to the standard model, featuring a 1.2L 3-cylinder NA Petrol Z-Series engine.
India’s beloved hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Swift, has transitioned to its 4th generation model in the country. Introduced earlier this year, the Swift made its debut with a new 3-cylinder engine and has been well-received by consumers. During the festive season, Maruti Suzuki is enhancing the Swift’s appeal with the Blitz Edition, which includes free accessories valued at Rs 50,000.
Maruti Swift Blitz Edition
Accessorizing vehicles is a popular trend in India, particularly for the base models that need a bit more flair. Maruti Suzuki has addressed this with the launch of the Blitz Edition for the 4th Gen Swift. The Blitz Edition appears to be the perfect opportunity to enhance the “Swifting” experience.
Maruti Suzuki provides a variety of accessories for the new Swift, including curated accessory packages such as the Thrill Chaser Package and the Racing Roadster Package. However, these packages are exclusively available with the top-spec ZXI and ZXI+ trims.
The Swift Blitz Edition, recently introduced, targets buyers interested in lower trims such as LXI, VXI, and VXI (O) by offering a suite of accessories. In terms of pricing, the total cost of the accessories included in the Blitz Edition amounts to Rs 49,848.
Maruti Suzuki is providing complimentary accessories valued at Rs 49,848. The Blitz Edition’s significant accessories include a Rear Underbody Spoiler, Fog Lamp, Illuminated Door Sill Guards, Door Visors, Side Body Mouldings, and a Rear Upper Spoiler to enhance the vehicle’s sporty appearance.
Apart from the accessories being offered by Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships, the Swift Blitz Edition does not feature any mechanical alterations. It is important to note that the Blitz Edition is available for a limited time only, intended to increase showroom visits and sales during the festive season, rather than being a permanent addition.
Specs and Features
Aside from the Blitz Edition accessories, the Swift remains the same. It is powered by the familiar 1.2L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine delivers a peak power of 82 bhp and a peak torque of 112 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The CNG variant of the Swift, which was launched last month, boasts a mileage of up to 32.85 km/kg.
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to introduce the 4th Gen Dzire next month, a sub-4-meter sedan variant of the Swift. The new Dzire boasts a more premium positioning and aesthetic. It also comes loaded with additional features, enhancing its premium and upscale allure.
