The introduction of the XUV3XO marked a significant upgrade in Mahindra’s sub-4m SUV category. Having debuted earlier in the year, the XUV3XO quickly became a standout in its segment, boasting an array of features and equipment that were firsts for its class. Now, as we enter October 2024, the XUV3XO experiences its inaugural price increase. Let’s delve into the details.
Mahindra XUV3XO Prices Increased
The sub-4-meter SUV category is crucial for automakers due to its volume sales. Mahindra harbors significant ambitions for the XUV3XO, projecting it to become the segment’s top seller in the coming years. As of October 2024, the SUV has undergone its initial price increase.
Mahindra has increased its prices by up to Rs 30,000. The price hike is not uniform across all variants; some trim levels have maintained their introductory pricing. This segment is highly competitive, featuring rivals such as Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite at their peak performance.
Beginning with the Petrol variants, Mahindra has maintained the launch prices for the MX3 Pro, AX7, and AX7L trim levels. The base MX1 and the mid-spec AX5 Petrol variants have received the highest price increase among all variants, with an increment of Rs 30,000. Meanwhile, other trim levels such as the MX2 Pro, MX3, and AX5L have seen a uniform price hike of Rs 25,000.
Mahindra has increased the prices of diesel variants for trim levels such as MX2 Pro, MX3, and AX5 by Rs 10,000. However, there is no price increase for diesel variants of trim levels MX2, MX3 Pro, AX7, and AX7L with this update.
Any other changes?
Besides the updated prices, the XUV3XO appears to remain unchanged. The top-spec trims feature a variety of enhancements such as a gloss black grille, LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, connected LED tail lamps, roof rails, and dual-tone 17-inch alloy wheels, as well as a rear washer and wiper on the exterior.
Inside, Mahindra has enhanced the cabin’s ambiance with extensive soft-touch plastics, leatherette seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob. It features a standalone 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a premium seven-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with an amplifier and subwoofer, a 360-degree camera with a blind view monitor, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, cruise control, wireless charging, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
The Mahindra XUV300 ensures safety with a 5-star safety rating, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, hill hold control, and all four disc brakes, along with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. The Mahindra XUV3OO Sub-4m SUV maintains the same engine lineup as the XUV300, featuring both turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine delivers 112 hp and 200 Nm of torque, while the 1.2L T-GDi engine produces 120 hp and 250 Nm. The 1.5L diesel engine generates 117 hp and 300 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual transmission, a 6-speed automated manual transmission, and a 6-speed torque converter.
