The India Today Group (ITG), a news conglomerate, and Bosch Global Software Technologies (BGSW), a player in automotive technology, have joined forces to introduce in-vehicle connectivity solutions. This collaboration aims to provide users with a hands-free means of staying well-informed while on the move.
Marking a significant milestone in both the automotive and media sectors, the strategic alliance leverages BGSW’s connected car features and integrates them with the diverse content offerings of the India Today Group. The result is an integrated India Today app that reads aloud the latest news across various categories such as elections, politics, sports, international affairs, and business, offering users a comprehensive and seamless experience.
This technological collaboration is already operational in Mahindra’s XUV700 and Scorpio-N connected vehicles. The plan is to extend this connected experience to other BGSW customers, encompassing two-wheelers, passenger and commercial vehicles in both electric vehicle (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) segments. The ITG-BGSW partnership spans over a decade, highlighting the long-term commitment to innovation.
Salil Kumar, CEO of India Today Group Digital, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership underscores our dedication to delivering a seamless and enriching experience to our audience, fostering innovation not only within their homes but also on the move.”
BGSW, known for introducing connectivity solutions like Telematics hardware and a connected vehicle platform, will now offer over 250 features aligned with its vision of being “Invented for life.” R K Shenoy, CTO and Senior VP of Mobility Engineering Solutions at BGSW, highlighted that the collaboration with ITG enables them to enhance the connected end-user experience with innovative features, complemented by media content. He expressed eagerness to further innovate in the convergence of automotive and media domains.
