GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd has announced a strategic partnership with Flipkart to promote sustainability in logistics. By introducing a fleet of liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered trucks, GreenLine aims to enhance the efficiency and environmental sustainability of Flipkart’s supply chain.
The new trucks are equipped to manage a variety of cargo, catering to both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) deliveries. This fleet will operate on regional routes, linking the western and northern regions of India. Future expansion plans involve extending routes from the north to the south and from the west to the south, with the goal of enhancing logistics networks throughout the nation.
GreenLine’s LNG-powered fleet enhances Flipkart’s green initiatives, which already feature a significant deployment of electric vehicles (EVs) within its delivery network. Flipkart has recently reached the milestone of deploying 10,000 EVs, showcasing its dedication. The addition of LNG trucks to the EV fleet highlights a strategic method to preserve operational efficiency. Although LNG and EV fleets are crucial for emission reduction, their broad implementation necessitates substantial investments in infrastructure and technology.
