Ducati has revealed the Panigale V4 Tricolore special edition, a celebration of the brand’s Italian heritage and engineering prowess. This exclusive model is limited to 1,000 numbered units and showcases a distinctive asymmetrical livery, drawing inspiration from the 1984 Ducati 750 F1, a bike that set the standard for modern supersport motorcycles. The Tricolore is a collector’s dream, equipped with an array of high-tech components, positioning it as one of the market’s most advanced motorcycles.
The Panigale V4 Tricolore is powered by Ducati’s 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine, which produces a maximum power of 214 bhp at 13,500 rpm and a peak torque of 120.9 Nm at 11,250 rpm. The motorcycle’s dry weight stands at a mere 188 kg, thanks to carbon fibre rims that are 0.95 kg lighter than forged wheels. These rims contribute to a 12% and 19% reduction in the front and rear moment of inertia, respectively, enhancing the bike’s cornering agility and responsiveness to directional changes, particularly on the racetrack.
For the first time, Ducati has introduced the Front Brake Pro system, which includes 338.5 mm finned Brembo T-Drive discs coupled with Hypure calipers. Originating from racing technology, these discs provide enhanced braking force and reliability in demanding conditions. The system is further enhanced by a Brembo MCS 19.21 front brake pump featuring remote lever adjustment, akin to the setups used in MotoGP and Superbike competitions.
The Tricolore features a chassis based on Ducati’s ‘Front Frame’ design, complemented by a 17-litre aluminium fuel tank. It is equipped with an Öhlins NPX-30 pressurised fork, TTX-36 shock absorber, and steering damper, all integrated into the Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) 3.0 system for precise handling in diverse riding conditions. The motorcycle also boasts adjustable billet aluminium footpegs and an Alcantara seat to improve rider comfort and control.
The Panigale V4 Tricolore comes equipped with Ducati’s Race eCBS and the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), enhancing performance through the integration of aerodynamics, chassis dynamics, and electronics. Additionally, it features a GPS module and a unique dashboard animation that activates upon ignition, providing a personalized touch for each rider.
The design of the model melds traditional and contemporary elements. The asymmetrical Tricolore livery blends the colors of the Italian flag with black and white motifs representing the checkered flag. The use of additional carbon fiber parts, such as mudguards, chain guards, and swingarm covers, enhances the motorcycle’s streamlined look while ensuring it remains lightweight.
For those passionate about the racetrack, the Tricolore offers an optional kit that includes a racing tank cap, carbon fiber brake caliper air conveyors, and a license plate removal kit. Standard features include a dry clutch and an open carbon fiber clutch cover. Additionally, each motorcycle is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, a custom bike cover, and an aluminum ignition key engraved with the model’s unit number.
