Ducati has revealed the newest versions of the Streetfighter V4 and V4 S, redefining the benchmark in the naked superbike segment. Constructed on the renowned Panigale V4 framework, the Streetfighter V4 lineup merges exceptional track performance with daily rideability, featuring technology derived from MotoGP and a sophisticated aesthetic. These motorcycles are expected to hit dealerships by March 2025 and will be offered in single-seater configurations, with a passenger kit available as an option.
The 1,103cc, Euro5+ compliant V4 engine produces 211 bhp at 13,500 rpm and 120 Nm of torque at 11,250 rpm. Equipping the optional Akrapovic racing exhaust boosts the power to 223 bhp, ranking it among the most potent naked bikes on the market. The engine features variable-length intake trumpets to optimize power delivery and improve rideability, complemented by a counter-rotating crankshaft and Twin Pulse firing order that contribute to the distinctive Ducati sound.
The Streetfighter V4 S features a power-to-weight ratio of 1.11 bhp/kg, thanks to its reduced kerb weight of 189 kg, forged aluminum wheels, and a lithium battery. It is equipped with an advanced Ohlins Smart EC 3.0 suspension system, Race eCBS braking system, and Brembo Hypure calipers for enhanced handling and braking capabilities. The standard Streetfighter V4, while sharing many characteristics, opts for a Showa Big Piston Fork and Sachs rear monoshock, resulting in a marginally heavier kerb weight of 191 kg.
The Streetfighter V4 continues to sport its aggressive, minimalist design, now featuring a revamped full-LED headlight, aerodynamic biplane wings, and a more streamlined tail section. Its new 6.9-inch full-TFT dashboard, boasting an 8:3 aspect ratio, improves both visibility and functionality. This dashboard dynamically adjusts, providing tailored displays for both road and track usage, complete with navigation, lap timing, and real-time telemetry inspired by MotoGP technology.
The chassis, taken directly from the Panigale V4, boasts a lighter front frame and a re-engineered Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm. These features enhance cornering stability, provide better rider feedback, and increase agility, all while maintaining high-speed stability. Ergonomic improvements such as a repositioned handlebar, lower footpegs, and a better seat-tank interface, offer increased comfort, especially for taller riders. Additionally, advanced thermal management efficiently channels hot air away from the rider, ensuring comfort on longer journeys.
The electronics suite is among the industry’s most advanced, featuring a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and cutting-edge control systems. Ducati Traction Control, Slide Control, Wheelie Control, Power Launch, and Quick Shift are just some of the features that guarantee precise handling and optimized performance in diverse riding conditions. The Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), a predictive algorithm from MotoGP, tracks more than 70 parameters to facilitate highly responsive electronic adjustments.
The Streetfighter V4 series features various riding modes such as Race, Sport, Road, and Wet, catering to both track aficionados and everyday riders. Its aerodynamic biplane wings generate 17 kg of downforce at 270 km/h, improving stability at high speeds and confidence during cornering. The Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires also enhance the motorcycle’s grip and maneuverability.
