BonV Aero, India’s leading UAV manufacturer, has completed successful live trials of its Logistics and Goods Supply (LGS) drone in partnership with the CRPF’s CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) Unit.
The trials took place in high-risk jungle terrain. These areas are difficult to access, and conventional supply convoys often face threats and delays. The LGS drone aims to solve this problem by offering a safer and faster delivery option.
Two Missions, One Big Result
As part of the demonstration, BonV Aero completed two key missions with CRPF’s anti-Naxal operations team.
- The first mission was a 10 km round-trip carried out at night. The drone dropped a 20 kg payload precisely at the designated location.
- The second mission followed the same route during the day. It confirmed the drone’s accuracy and consistent performance in different lighting conditions.
A Step Toward Tactical Readiness
“The successful completion of both sorties proves that our drone can carry essential payloads across difficult terrain in any environment,” said Abinash Sahoo, Co-founder and CTO of BonV Aero.
CRPF officials present at the trial praised the drone’s operational readiness and called it a game-changer for logistics in conflict zones and emergency situations.
Bridging Gaps in Critical Missions
“When road routes are blocked or unsafe, drones like BonV Aero’s LGS platform provide a new way to reach remote areas quickly,” said Sultan Alam Khan, Co-founder and Head of Manufacturing.
Following the successful trials, BonV Aero is working to enhance the drone’s payload capacity. This will further support defence operations and disaster response efforts.
Looking Ahead: A Vision for National Growth
Based in Odisha, BonV Aero is on a mission to become a global leader in aerial logistics. The company continues to focus on innovation and contributing to India’s growth and resilience.
This collaboration marks a united effort between India’s tech innovators and security forces. Together, they aim to ensure no region is left behind, even in the most challenging environments.
