Kia has unveiled the 2026 EV9 in America, bringing with it some changes such as enhanced range, new amenities, new color options, and a new Nightfall Edition. The price begins at $54,900 (₹46.98 lakh) for the lower-end Light SR trim and climbs up to $71,900 (₹61.52 lakh) for the highest-end GT-Line.
EV9 Grabs Longer Range in Certain Trims
The 2026 model introduces a boost in estimated driving range for some variants. According to Kia estimates, the GT-Line variant now comes with 280 miles (450 km), from 270 miles (434 km). The Wind and Land variants get a small boost from 280 to 283 miles (455.44 km), and the Light Long Range variant now comes with 305 miles (491 km), an increase by just a mile. The foundation Light SR, with a 76.1 kWh battery, remains unchanged. Other models come with a 99.8 kWh battery pack.
New Features and Charging Compatibility
All AWD trims (Wind, Land, and GT-Line) now have Terrain Modes — Snow, Mud, and Sand — in place of the previous 4WD configuration. All 2026 EV9 trims also are now supported by the North American Charging Standard (NACS), which grants access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.
Two new dual-tone color shades have been added for the GT-Line: Glacial White Pearl with Ebony Black roof and Wolf Gray with Ebony Black roof.
Nightfall Edition – Design and Performance Enhancements
The Nightfall Edition, which is the new model, is derived from the Land trim and emphasizes design improvements. It has a Roadrider Brown exterior color and gloss black finishes on the grille, skid plates, ORVMs, roof rails, and side sills. It also receives 20-inch gloss black wheels.
Inside, the Nightfall Edition features an all-black interior, special upholstery, contrast stitching, and a black headliner. Both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations will be available.
Performance is significantly enhanced with the Boost function, taking torque from 600 Nm to 700 Nm, the same as the GT-Line. It produces 379 hp through dual motors and 0–100 km/h in around 4.5 seconds.
