India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd. has achieved a remarkable milestone by producing one million units of the Yamaha R15 at its Surajpur plant. Since its launch in 2008, the R15 has set new standards in performance motorcycling in India, showcasing Yamaha’s racing heritage. With advanced technology, track-inspired handling, and premium design, the R15 continues to redefine the motorcycling experience.
The R15 has consistently led Yamaha’s premium strategy, with over 90% of its production serving Indian customers, further establishing India as a significant export hub. Over the past 16 years, the R15 has undergone multiple generations of evolution, incorporating liquid-cooled engines, Deltabox frames, VVA technology, traction control, and quick shifters, maintaining its dominance in the supersport segment.
