Kubota Escorts, the renowned tractor manufacturer, has revealed an ambitious plan to establish a state-of-the-art greenfield manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh. This development marks a significant expansion of the company’s production capabilities, aligning with its future growth objectives.
The investment for this venture is projected to exceed ₹4,500 crore, encompassing both land acquisition and facility construction. The project, set to roll out in phases, aims to boost annual revenue from production to over ₹10,000 crore. At full operational capacity, the new facility is expected to create employment opportunities for more than 14,000 individuals, both directly and indirectly.
Kubota Escorts plans to acquire between 250 and 300 acres of land for this initiative. This land will be strategically allocated, with a portion dedicated to expanding tractor and engine manufacturing operations and the remainder reserved to accommodate future growth needs. Construction is slated to commence in 2028.
Funding for the project will be sourced from a recent preferential share issue to Kubota Corporation, Japan, along with internal accruals. This investment is poised to strengthen Kubota Escorts’ presence in the domestic market while enhancing its global competitiveness.
