The updates introduced with the Nissan Magnite facelift are set to be incorporated into the Renault Kiger facelift as well.
The Nissan Magnite, launched in 2020, has been appreciated for its cost-effectiveness and extensive feature set. This sub-4-meter SUV has maintained steady sales since its debut. Nissan is preparing to introduce the updated Magnite.
Bookings for the 2024 Nissan Magnite Facelift are now open.
2024 Magnite facelift will sport a refreshed appearance, retaining most of the original body panels. However, enhancements are anticipated for the front and rear lighting elements, as indicated in the recent teaser. The teaser also suggests that deliveries will begin on October 5th, following the launch on 4th October.
The Magnite facelift is likely to feature a new grille and updated bumpers at the front and rear. While the side profile will remain largely unchanged, the SUV is expected to sport a new set of alloy wheels. The rear end will probably see updated tail lamps, a refreshed tailgate, and bumper. Additionally, there could be some new color options available.
The interior of the Magnite facelift may feature a new color theme for the dashboard. Functional enhancements could include the addition of a single-pane electric sunroof, likely available with the top-spec variants. There might also be a larger touchscreen infotainment system with an updated UI and a refreshed digital cluster. Additionally, ventilated front seats may become an option for the top-spec variants.
Features to be carried forward
It should be noted that the Magnite, while being affordably priced, offers a comprehensive range of features. Many of these features will be carried over from the current model. The key highlights include an advanced PM 2.5 filter, steering-mounted audio and meter controls, rear AC vents, and height-adjustable seats.
The Magnite is equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, premium JBL speakers, ambient lighting, and a puddle lamp. It features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster display. Additionally, the NissanConnect app provides users with access to over fifty connected car features.
Safety is a significant factor contributing to the popularity of the Magnite. It earned a 4-star adult safety rating in the Global NCAP crash tests conducted in 2022. The Magnite’s onboard safety kit is quite comprehensive, including key features such as vehicle dynamic control, hill start assist, traction control system, hydraulic brake assist, rear parking sensors, a rear camera with projection guide, an around view monitor, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Additionally, the upcoming facelift may introduce new safety features.
Magnite powertrain options
Regarding performance, the Magnite facelift will continue to offer the same engine options as before. It features a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 72 PS of maximum power and 96 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automated manual. Alternatively, there is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 100 PS.
The torque output stands at 160 Nm when paired with the 5MT and 152 Nm with the CVT gearbox. The Nissan Magnite facelift is expected to debut around the festive season. In its updated form, the Nissan Magnite will remain a competitor to vehicles such as the Renault Kiger, Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch, and others.
